Yaesu M-70 Desktop Microphones blend classic design with 21st Century features for a stylish, self-contained and affordable cardioid desk mic for your Yaesu transceiver operating pleasure. The M-70 utilizes a directional condenser microphone element which has precisely tuned frequency response to obtain clear and crisp audio quality. Along with its built-in preamplifier, the M-70 uses three Air-Cylinder tubes, similar to the Reference Microphone M-1, to provide a solid and smooth extended operation.
The M-70 has a simple one-touch PTT key lock button placed just above the PTT key for those long rag chews. This mic preamp features an isolation transformer integrated into the circuit board to enhance audio quality. Also, a built-in Low-Cut filter allows shaping of the low frequency response with a roll-off at 340Hz, -6dB/octave. An ON/ OFF sliding switch is located on the bottom of the microphone.
The M-70 is compatible with all modern Yaesu HF transceivers. Both types of 8-pin mating connectors are on the rear of the M-70 base. By swapping the orientation of coiled cord with opposite connectors at each end, it connects to Yaesu radios equipped with either an 8-pin round or an 8-pin modular mic connector.
